The Hershey Cubs Hockey Club is proud to announce its first ever Head Coach is Brennan Thompson. Brennan has a masters degree in Business Administration as well as a bachelors in Business and Accounting from Lebanon Valley College, where he played hockey for 5 years. He served as Assistant Captain from 2016-2018 , earned player of the week honors as well as LVC Coaches award.



Brennan Thompson is the first Head Coach in Hershey Cubs history. Brennan is from Elizabethtown, PA and graduated with a M.B.A. from Lebanon Valley College. He helped Captain the LVC team in his final 2 years. He is a highly motivated and energetic coach eager to get started. He has previously coached the Palmyra High School teams, and for the Palmyra Black Knights finding success and winning titles. Brennan is looking forward to helping new players reach their goals of playing college hockey, advancing their skills, and being part of a team that becomes a family. Brennan is recently engaged to Lyndsay Hutchinson, congratulations on both new adventures.



Brady Boudreau, the son of Bruce and Crystal, holds an MBA in Sports Management, has played 4 years of junior hockey, and spent the last 2 years as an assistant coach with the MN Blue Ox. He also successfully started his own Hockey School in Coon Rapids, MN 4 years ago and will continue to operate it. Brady has lived in the hockey world his whole life and decided to invest in the team with his parents. Brady’s dream of owning and coaching a junior hockey team is now a reality. He plans on relocating to Hershey from Minnesota this summer. “Hockey is the Boudreau Family Business”



Originally from New Jersey, Padraig Carey grew up playing hockey in the N.Y./N.J. area. After spending time playing Junior Hockey in the US and Canada, he played four years at ACHA Division I and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).Carey began coaching in 2013 with the Goalie Academy based out of Sterling, VA, in his role as Central PA Director he coaches summer camps and with the Hershey JR Bears  program and the prestigious Hershey Quebec Pee Wee Team. In 2018-19 he joined the staff at Lebanon Valley College as the Men’s Ice Hockey Goalie Coach and has been with LVC since, Carey also serves as a USA Hockey Goalie Development Leader in Virginia, Padraig lives in Hummelstown with his wife Catie.



Jake Thomas grew up in the central PA area and played hockey at Lebanon Valley College. He graduated after five years, earning a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has coached in the Capital City Vipers and Hershey Jr Bears youth organizations while earning a Level 4 USA Hockey coaching certification. Jake currently lives in Palmyra with his fiancée Cathy.



Martin Giroux’s a French-Canadian originally from Quebec city who graduated in Business Administration at Laval University. Martin has more than twenty years of experience as an assistant coach and head coach in various categories. Martin also spent the last few years with an elite AAA structure recognized across Canada, ”Le Blizzard du Séminaire St-François”. Martin has won three provincial championship titles during his career and is recognized for his effective prospect evaluation.



Pierre-Luc Racette, is a french-Canadian originally from the Hull/Ottawa area and possesses a hockey background of managing, recruiting and scouting international prospects. He has a proven record of success in recruiting international talents. Accomplishments include: five league finals appearances, three league championships, one provincial gold medal championship in Canada and one National gold medal championship in the United States.



Born In Kajaani, Northern Finland, now living in Turku with his wife Karoliina & their Pomeranian dog, Lily; Antti Merilainen is strong of 21 years of experience as an Elite Goalie Coach, he has spent time in various professional leagues, notably in the Italian SERIE A, the German DEL2 as well as the Finnish Mestis league. At the youth level Antti worked notably at the U20, U18, U16 & is still working at U18 level for TUTO in the SM-sarja. Antti also has worked with the National team with the U16 & U17. Antti’s has strong relations all over Europe and in Scandinavia.
